original owner car,in excellent condition,recently repainted.not driven much at all these days...sunny sundays.
Historybought new in dec.1978 from luigi chinetti motors in greenwich ct.(rarely,if ever,driven in east coast snow).driven 'forth and back' across the US, ny to seattle,three times,"commuting" to my alaska commercial fishing job,'80 to'83;then san diego to seattle,'83 to'88;and finally oregon to seattle '88 to '91.after two blown head gaskets early on,i took the die grinder to the water passages in the head gasket between cyl 2&3,and added a few more lbs of torque to the head bolts,to cure that problem.never bumped up the boost pressure...and i have always run EP 80/90 in the gearbox,say what you will,i have never had the tranny woes that so many saabs are famous for..and not letting anyone else drive the car helps alot too! would love to put a 5spd in it,maybe then i would use it more often ...i keep it for sentimental reasons now.
